Cut The Waste is a small, volunteer-driven nonprofit. We help offices throw away less and recycle correctly by giving them the data, training and tools to do it, all for free.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE MISSION
Guilherme and Alexandre Rodrigues founded Cut The Waste in 2025 after they realized how much office waste goes to landfill. Today the organization is run by 2 board members and 10+ volunteers, with backgrounds in facilities management, environmental science, procurement. Our online workshops and guides are open to anyone.

HOW WE WORK
We base our advice on measurement, not guesswork. Every audit starts by weighing and sorting a sample of real waste, so our recommendations fit that specific office. We share what we learn in our free guides. We also publish a summary of our own activity every year: how many audits and workshops we ran, and how our funds were used. We don’t sell products, earn commissions or endorse brands. Our only goal is less waste.
HOW WE’RE FUNDED
As a registered 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 39-5040835), we are funded by individual donations, corporate sponsorships and grants. All of our programs are free to the organizations we serve. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
